Element Church Outreach: Gas Buy Down
Coming up on Saturday, June 9th, Element Church will be hosting a Gas Buy Down. What is a gas buy-down you ask?
For four hours, we will be partnering with the Exxon Big D gas station located at 3030 E. Lincolnway in Cheyenne, WY. During those four hours, Element will pay down the price of gas by $1.00 per gallon. The $1.00 discount will be reflected at the pump. So if gas costs $2.50 that day, the consumer will only pay $1.50.
Not only will we be providing that $1.00 per gallon discount, but we will also be helping to pump the gas, wash windshields, direct traffic and more. We will also be giving away gift cards to local businesses at random to different customers.
Why would we do all this? JUST BECAUSE! We serve a radically generous God so we want to be radically generous people. This is a simple way for us to model the generosity of Jesus and show His love in a tangible way as well.
