Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week
Hey Element Church! This is Linsei and she is this week’s Volunteer Of The Week! Linsei, along with her husband Derrick, serves as one of our Greeter Team leaders. She has an obvious caring heart for the people she serves.
Linsei and her family have been attending Element for almost three years. She is an OB Tech in labor and delivery at the hospital and Derrick is a conductor for the railroad. She loves to read, take their kids to their various activities & volunteer at their kids’ school.
When asked why they serve at Element, Linsei said: “We love to serve! As parents we think it is very important to show our kids the meaning of serving. In a devotion, we read the verse Mark 10:45 ‘For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.’ That verse really opened up our eyes as a family to serving; that as Christians we are all called to be more like Jesus and that’s what he did, he served others. Plus we have built so many awesome relationships with other families through serving! It is so fun for us!”
Linsei, we are so proud of you and Derrick leading the way in having a servants heart. Thank you for modeling that to your children and to our church. What you do MATTERS!
