Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week

Hey Element Church! Meet Scott, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Scott was nominated by Steve, our Community Pastor who said: “Scott is an amazing addition to the Element Church Outreach Team and is currently helping us plan our upcoming Food Giveaway and Special Needs Dance. He has a heart for people that are less fortunate and you can tell that by the way he lives his life. He lives a very selfless life and inspires many by the way he lives. Scott is the epitome of what I long to be as a man that is seeking Christ in his life. Scott is getting ready to start a group in the fall here at Element and I know it will be very successful. Way to go Scott and keep chasing Jesus.”

Scott has been attending Element Church since 2015. His wife Tina and his four kids attend Element along with his son in law and grandson Cord. Along with outreach, he & Tina have just started volunteering in the Living Room. He works at the Board Of Public Utilities (27 years) and he loves to play golf.

When asked why he serves at Element, Scott said, “The reason I serve at Element is I feel the Holy Spirit has drawn me to this and God has given me a passion to help with the homeless and folks that are less fortunate. I prayed for the longest time that the Lord would put me in a position to lead in the way it helps others and that’s when I was asked if I would take the role in leading a small group which I will get to do in the fall. I want to thank Derek for asking and giving me this chance. Serving makes me feel so blessed and close to the Lord. I gave myself to the Lord in 2015, and I amazed what the Holy Spirit has done for me in all aspects of life. I am excited where the Lord will take me in the future. It’s an honor to serve and be a part of Element Church.”
