Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week
Hey Element Church! Meet Chinna & Jayla, this week’s Volunteer(s) Of The Week. Chinna & Jayla were nominated by Bianca, our e:kids assistant, who said this: “This awesome mother and daughter duo has been serving in e:kidz faithfully since day one. Their love for Volunteering just completely blows me away! We love having them on our team and they are truly a joy to be around.”
Chinna & Jayla have been attending Element Church for 1 1/2 years and they serve together in Adventurers. Chinna is a social worker and enjoys pageants, roller derby and volunteering in the community. Jayla is a Full time student, loves to tap dance, is in all city children’s choir, 4H, and volunteers throughout the community, specifically with the Cheyenne animal shelter. Both of them won presidential awards for volunteering with over 1,200 hours of time!
When asked why they serve here at Element, they said, “We never felt so at home after my divorce. I walked away with anger in my heart. When I decided to join, my heart just knew I’m home and God loved me even when I did walk away.”
