Jesus wants me!

Jesus wants me more than He wants anything from me! ⁠

This wasn’t a declaration of Truth I thought I needed until God gave it to me for my Christmas Eve sermon @elementchurch.life last year. ⁠

Truth statements have become one of the key spiritual disciplines which help me replace the lies of the enemy with the Truth of God’s Word. Every one of my declarations is rooted in Scripture: ⁠

This one is clearly rooted from the manger to the cross: Jesus wants me more than He wants anything from me.⁠
⁠
He proved it when He gave up His throne for a feeding trough and gave up His life on the cross. He went to the greatest, unimaginable lengths to seek me. Wow!⁠

How often in my life have I thought I needed to do something to get Jesus when in reality, He did EVERYTHING to get me, and all He really wants is me! ME?! ⁠

I was overwhelmed by this Truth all last Christmas. It brought me to tears on multiple occasions thinking about it. It became so meaningful to me that I made it one of my regular declarations of Truth. ⁠

Truth statements like these are much more than self-help or positive affirmations. Truth statements are just that…TRUTH! ⁠

Scripture tells us that the enemy is the father of lies. He uses those lies to distract us, derail us, and destroy us. The only way lies are defeated is by replacing them with Truth.⁠

Say it! Believe it! Live it! Jesus wants me more than He wants anything from me. ⁠
