This picture is probably my favorite place in Israel. This is from En Gedi, which is the oasis in the desert where King David was inspired to write many of his Psalms. This is the place where David hid in the caves from Saul and from his son Absolom.
En Gedi is literally in the middle of the desert around the Dead Sea. All around is nothing but wasteland and then you have this Oasis of refuge. There is a brook running through it with a number of waterfalls.
When you stand in En Gedi and read the words, “As the deer thirsts for streams of water so my soul thirsts for You Oh God,” it takes on a whole new meaning.
On our trip, we will hike up to “David’s Falls” which is a majestic waterfall in this Oasis. We’ll stop here for some reading of Scripture, reflection, and worship.
The cost of the trip is $3,175 per person (plus airfare).
The initial deposit is $400, with the balance due 100 days prior to departure. All the details can be found HERE.
Faith-based Expeditions (touring company) will also work hand in hand with all registrants throughout the process to make sure that each person has all the information they need for the trip.
