That’s Too Hard For God

On Sunday at Element Church we continued our sermon series called “Our Father: Praying Prayers That Matter.” In the series we are looking at the model of prayer that Jesus gave us through the Lord’s Prayer. The Lord’s prayer is not a mandate for HOW we should pray, but a model of what our prayers should look like. It’s not a prescription to get what we want FROM God, but it’s loaded with principles that will build our relationship WITH God.
On Sunday, we talked about the principle of praise in our prayers. We said, “The most powerful petitions TO God are fueled by our praises OF God.” If we can’t find anything to praise God for then we don’t have a foundation to present our requests to Him. In talking about what we have to praise God for, we talked about praising Him for what He has done.
