What does Dumb and Dumber have to do with Jesus?
Absolutely NOTHING, but I did show a clip from the original Dumb and Dumber movie on Sunday solely as a distraction to get inside this giant hamster ball backstage in order to use as an illustration.
On Sunday, we finished up our sermon series called “True Love” by asking the question “What is the goal of true love?” I preached from 1 John 4:16-18 and during the first point I also preached from inside a human hamster ball. Ultimately, the goal of true love is more than just forgiveness, it is setting us free to live for Jesus!

In this clip, I preach from inside a hamster ball to illustrate that one of God’s goals in true love is that we be CONSUMED by His love! When we are consumed with the life and love of God, everywhere we go and everything we do will be done through the lens and leading of that love! You can watch full sermons HERE.
